The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Alyeska. This lake is so wonderful. A great place to camp here at Slipper Lake is Pinnacle Mountain Recreation; in case you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Wolverine Creek. At Slipper Lake you don’t see much rainfall; the month of September is the wettest with most       of the rain; the driest of the months is March. At Slipper Lake all through the summertime highs are in the 60's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's, and night lows at Slipper Lake through the winter generally plunge into the 0's. Man, is there a heap of enjoyable stuff to do in the Talkeetna Mountains. Eska Creek flows through this vicinity, and you'll locate a scenic lake called Seventeenmile                  Lake. Granite Creek has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby; Gold Miners Hotel is a glorious place to get some rest. Why not camp at Kroa Kamping Resorts-alaska since you're here at Slipper Lake; if you're here, you could also check out pretty Wolverine Lake.
