There are other spots here than Slipper Lake, for example Wolverine Lake, and after a long day outdoors Gold Miners Hotel is a tremendous site to spend a night or two. Granite Creek has a pleasant whitewater paddling spot close by; if you came to camp Pinnacle Mountain Recreation is a wonderful place to do that. Not much rain falls here at Slipper Lake; the wettest month of the year is typically September, that's       the one that rains the most, and March on the other hand is the driest. The Talkeetna Mountains scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. Don't forget to take a wonderful little spree to Eska Creek; if you like skiing, you're in luck; Alyeska is pretty near. That right there is a load already, but it goes on; Slipper Lake has it all. If you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Wolverine Creek. During the                  summer highs here at Slipper Lake reach the 60's while night lows are usually in the 40's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Slipper Lake. Man, is there plenty of amusing things to do in the Talkeetna Mountains.
