Sixmile Lake gets very little rainfall; through the month of September you get the most rain around here while April is the month with the least amount of precipitation. The skiing at Hilltop is glorious; you don’t have to go far from Sixmile Lake to observe the water at Gregory Lake Dam. A tremendous place to camp here at Sixmile Lake is Golden Nugget Camper Park; a day on the slopes of Alpenglow       At Arctic Valley is just what you need. Camping is available at John's RV Park and Motel, and drift down the rapids of Ship Creek in a kayak. Do explore Lake Beebe in the neighborhood of Sixmile Lake, it's a scenic lake; Ramada Limited Anchorage is a great place to get some rest. Yeah, come here to Sixmile Lake for a great time. Fish Lake is a nearby lake that you could explore, and paddling on Campbell Creek is so much fun. This lake is so wonderful.                  If time allows, Katmai National Park & Preserve is a national park worth stopping at; hiking along the Bull Rock Trail is good fun. All through the warm days of summer here at Sixmile Lake, high temperatures regularly reach the 60's with nighttime lows in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and overnight lows at Sixmile Lake during the wintertime usually dip into the 0's. An afternoon playing golf at Anchorage Golf Course is always a pleasure. This lake is so wonderful.
