If you are in this part of Alaska make sure to pay a visit to Siamese Lakes. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Glacier River offers some tremendous whitewater, and there are splendid places to discover along the Sheridan Mountain Trail. This lake is located in the wonderful Chugach Mountains. For the duration of the summer months, highs generally are in the 60's at Siamese Lakes, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. The

| | cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Siamese Lakes dip into the 10's.
Siamese Lakes gets much water; the month of September is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is July. Go for a hike on the Lake Elsner Trail; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Power Creek.
