Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Grandma's Feather Bed, and on a delightful day you can take a hike along the Bear Creek Trail. Throughout the warm days of summer, highs regularly are in the 60's at Shelter Lake. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 40's. The cold       days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Shelter Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Spruce Meadow Recreational Vehicle Park is always a great experience. Shelter Lake is a wet spot that gets a good deal of rainfall; the month of October is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month of the year is April. And that's not all you can do here at Shelter Lake. Paddling on Montana Creek                  is so much fun, and if you get bored of Shelter Lake you could also explore nearby Peterson Lake. A perfect site near Shelter Lake is Favorite Reef, and Salt Lake is a nearby lake that you could have a look at. There is a splendid hiking trail next to Shelter Lake called the Montana Creek Trail; one of the best things about this place is its proximity to The Sand Beach. This lake is so wonderful.
