Sellen Lake is a wet site that gets a great deal of precipitation; September is the wettest month with most rain, and July is the month with the least moisture. This lake is one of the great places here in the Chugach Mountains. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing stuff in the Chugach Mountains. Sellen Lake is not the only location close by, Corser Lake is a close by lake, and you can have a great hiking adventure along       the Sheridan Mountain Trail. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. You can run the rapids of Power Creek right next door to Sellen Lake; Wrangell - St Elias National Park & Preserve is a perfect national park. This lake is so wonderful. You could also visit Meeks Pond while you're here at Sellen Lake; it's close by, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Eyak Trail. Get your heart beating on the perfect whitewater of Glacier                  River, and do take a hike on the Lake Elsner Trail. Throughout the long summer days here at Sellen Lake, high temperatures commonly get into the 60's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 40's.
