Do stop by Second Lake while you're in this part of Alaska. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Grant Lake Trail. Do stop at The Lagoon in the vicinity of Second Lake, it's a striking lake; camping is available at Stoney Creek RV Park. This lake is so wonderful. Lowell Point is not far from Second Lake at all; if you need a place to stay Holiday Inn Express SEWARD HARBOR is a delightful choice. Box Canyon Creek is a gorgeous

| | stream that is worth stopping at, and Kenai Fjords National Park is a magnificent local destination. If you want a magnificent time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Second Lake. If you came for an overnight stay Kenai Fjords RV Park is a delightful site to camp, and Harborview Inn is a great spot to get some rest. The Carter Lake Trail offers hiking at its best, and an interesting thing to pop by close to Second Lake is Lowell Creek Dam. There's good | |

hiking along the Lost Lake Trail; a delightful lake like First Lake is a delightful place to check out. At Second Lake throughout the warm days of summer highs are in the 60's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 40's. Highs
through the wintertime are commonly in the 20's; nighttime lows at Second Lake during the winter ordinarily dip into the 10's. A common amount of rain falls here at Second Lake; the month with most of the rain is October, and May is when it's the driest.

Carter Lake Trail
 | 13 miles away 1 PHOTO Took the hike from the Seward highway and it was a very well maintained trail and good parking lot with even bathrooms. The hike was very intense and switch backed multiple times. Tiny streams cross your path. Once up top it is beautiful. After some time walking threw the alpine, you come across a trail which to the left take you to the lake and to the right takes you to the bear box and camping area. It's a stocked lake so bring your rod.... |
