All through the long summer days at Scout Lake highs are mostly in the 60's, and the nighttime is a bit chillier of course, generally in the 40's. Wrangell - St Elias National Park & Preserve is a very perfect place to visit next                  to Scout Lake; the Lake Elsner Trail is a tremendous hiking trail close by. All the outdoors entertaining stuff in the vicinity of Scout Lake will keep you coming back again and again. Eyak Lake is a nearby lake that you could explore; if the weather is delightful, you can go for a hike along the Eyak Trail. These mountains rock, just explore all the exciting stuff to do in the Chugach Mountains.
