This lake is one of the great places here in the Chugach Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. The Lake Elsner Trail is a great hiking trail close to Scott Lake, and the sights at Wrangell - St Elias National Park       & Preserve will blow your mind. Not far from Scott Lake, you'll hit upon Scott Lake which is a gorgeous lake; a good place for whitewater paddling is Power Creek. If you want a good time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Chugach Mountains. If the weather is brilliant here at Scott Lake, you can go for a hike along the Sheridan Mountain Trail; get your heart beating on the good whitewater of Glacier River. There are other places here than Scott                  Lake, for example Siamese Lakes, and nearby you stumble on the McKinley Lake Trail which is a great hiking trail. All through the long summer days here at Scott Lake, high temperatures regularly reach the 60's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 40's.
