    If you are in this part of Alaska make sure to pay a visit to Scott Lake. Scott Lake gets a great deal of water; the wettest month of the year is usually September, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is July. This lake is located in the wonderful Chugach Mountains.
Summertime highs at Scott Lake typically tend to be in the 60's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 40's. Throughout the winter the highs are ordinarily in the
 
   30's, and night lows in the 10's for Scott Lake. All year is a delightful time in the Chugach Mountains if you adore the outdoors. You can run the rapids of Power Creek near Scott Lake, and there are great sites to discover along the Sheridan Mountain Trail. Get your pulse rate up on the tremendous whitewater of Glacier River, and don't leave Scott Lake without first going for a hike along the Lake Elsner Trail.

               Elias National Park & Preserve is one of the destinations close to Scott Lake that are great to go to, and delightful hiking is available along the McKinley Lake Trail.
