Salt Water Lagoon is not the only place nearby, Neck Lake is a nearby lake, and Clam Cove is in the vicinity and always wonderful to explore. A lake nearby is Sarkar Lake; hey, Sarkar Creek is a glorious local stream. Salt Water Lagoon typically gets a lot of rainfall; throughout October this area sees the most rain, and the driest month of the year is June.
