For the period of the summer, highs commonly are in the 60's at Salmon Lake. For the period of the moonlight hours it's usually in the 40's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Salmon Lake. This lake is so wonderful. A lake close by is Lake Irina,       and Bear Cove is not far at all. Good hiking is available along the Mount Verstovia Trail. Salmon Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth stopping at, and Super 8 Sitka is a great site to get some rest. Salmon Lake is not the only location nearby, Bear Lake is a nearby lake, and you can go for a hike on the Silver Bay Trail. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Salmon Lake. The summit of Eureka Mountain can be distinguished from                  Salmon Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Shee Atika Totem Square Inn.
