Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Gold Creek, and since you're here, you might as well       stop at Gold Creek Valley. Salmon Creek Reservoir in fact is in the middle of a lovely outdoors paradise. Beaches are pleasant; and Ready Bullion Beach in close proximity to Salmon Creek Reservoir is no exception, and there is a good hiking trail close by called the Mount Roberts Trail. There's so much to do here at Salmon Creek Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Auke Bay RV Park is a magnificent location for that. You just can't imagine                  the amount of outdoors cool things the area next to Salmon Creek Reservoir has to offer. Prospector Hotel is a fine location to get some rest, and there's whitewater on Lemon Creek for all you thrill seekers. Salmon Creek Reservoir mostly gets lots of rainfall; through October this area sees the most rain while April is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Eaglecrest has brilliant slopes and a friendly staff, and the fine folks of Juneau like to hang out nearby. Salmon Creek Dam is a picturesque spot next to Salmon Creek Reservoir, and going for a hike on the Lemon Creek Trail is always a great adventure. If you need a place to stay Silverbow Inn is a perfect choice; you can go for a hike on the Moller Ski Trail. This lake is so wonderful. A pleasant journey to Evergreen Bowl is a good way to spend an afternoon, and there are other places here than Salmon Creek Reservoir, for example Young Lake.
