Boulder Creek Flats is a lovely place any time of year; Rush Lake is not the only spot nearby, Upper Bonnie Lake is a nearby lake. Summertime brings highs in the 60's to Rush Lake. Summer night lows drop down to the 40's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 10's, and overnight lows in the-10's for Rush Lake. This place, Rush Lake, it completely has so much outdoors enjoyable stuff.       This lake is located in the wonderful Talkeetna Mountains. You could also stop by Ravine Lake since you're here at Rush Lake; it's nearby, and there are wonderful places to explore along the Chickaloon Knik Nelchina Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Rush Lake without first going for a hike along the Chickaloon River Trail; in case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Coal Creek. Rush Lake is pretty dried up generally;                  throughout the month of July you get the most rain around here while April is regularly the driest month.
