But wait, there's more enjoyable stuff to do in the Chugach Mountains. If you come at the right time of year, Power Creek offers some great whitewater; a picturesque lake like Lake Elsner is a glorious spot to check out. Yep, outdoors amusing stuff to do are in fact bountiful here at Rude Lake. The high level of rain makes Rude Lake a pretty wet location; of all the months in a year September is the one with       the most rain, and the driest of the months is July. This lake is so wonderful. There are some great whitewater spots on Tsina River, and Island Lake is a nice lake close by. There are brilliant locations to explore along the Eyak Trail; going for a hike on the Sheridan Mountain Trail is always a good adventure. This lake is one of the great places here in the Chugach Mountains. At Rude Lake through the summertime highs are in the 60's. Throughout                  the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 40's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Rude Lake drop into the 10's.
