If you are in this part of Alaska make sure to pay a visit to Rude Lake. Rude Lake gets lots of water; the month of September is the wettest with most of the rain, and July meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Power Creek, and there's fine hiking along the Lake Elsner Trail. This place, the Chugach Mountains, has so much outdoors enjoyable things. For the period of the summertime months here at Rude Lake, high temperatures mostly reach the 60's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Through the winter the highs are typically in the 30's with temperatures at Rude Lake dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Eyak Trail, and there are some nice whitewater spots on Tsina River.
