The Talkeetna Mountains scenery is always beautiful. If you like the outdoors you'll like it here in the Talkeetna Mountains. Get drenched paddling on Granite Creek, and a pleasant view of beautiful Red Mountain is available. This lake is so wonderful. Alyeska is a great local ski area, and good hiking is available along the Chickaloon River Trail. Don't leave Ruby Lake without first going       for a hike along the Chickaloon Trail. At Ruby Lake you don’t see much precipitation; of all the months in a year September is the one with the most rain; the driest month is March. Paddling on Kings River is so much fun, and camping at Pinnacle Mountain Recreation is always a fine experience. During the warm months, highs typically are in the 60's at Ruby Lake, and the night is a tad chillier of course, ordinarily in the 40's.
