There's some flowing water nearby, Chokosna River is a stream you can visit while you're here, and in case you don’t mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Chitina River. At Rock Lake during the summer highs are in the 60's with overnight lows in       the 40's. Throughout the winter the highs are usually in the 0's while the cold winter nights at Rock Lake are in the-20's. Around Rock Lake you don’t get a lot of rain; the wettest month of the year is commonly July, that's the one that rains the most; April is the month with the least moisture.
