    Many people like to go to Ravine Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Chickaloon River Trail, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at nearby Bonnie Lake. This lake is one of the great places here in the Talkeetna Mountains. It's a good idea to take a look at Sawmill Creek, it's near Ravine Lake; a great place for whitewater paddling is Chickaloon River.
At Ravine Lake throughout the warm months highs are in
 
   the 60's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 40's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 20's, and night lows at Ravine Lake through the wintertime usually sink into the 0's. Ravine Lake gets very little precipitation; the month of September is the wettest with most of the rain, and March on the other hand is the driest. These mountains rock, just look at all the amusing stuff to do in the Talkeetna Mountains. Going for a hike on  
               the Chickaloon Knik Nelchina Trail is always a great adventure, and you can run the rapids of Coal Creek.
If you need a spot to stay Sportsman's Inn is a good choice.
