    If you are in Wrangell-Petersburg county it's always a good idea to stop by Pats Lake. At Pats Lake throughout the summertime months highs are in the 60's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 20's for Pats Lake. All the water falling down from the sky makes Pats Lake a wet location; during the month of October you get the most rain around here while June is generally  
   the driest month. Whitewater paddling is glorious on Stikine River, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Thoms Lake Trail.
Wrangell Golf Course is a good golf course close by, and you can have a nice hiking adventure along the Highbush Lake Trail. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool things in close proximity to Pats Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Pats Lake you can catch a sight of Chichagof Peak, and close by you find Shoemaker Bay.
McCormack Creek flows through this region, and do take a hike on the Long Lake Trail.
