Patching Lake is a tremendous location to visit for more than one day, Alava Bay Cabin - Tongass National Forest is a tremendous location to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. There are other locations here than Patching Lake,       for example Chamberlain Lake, and a fine close by hotel is Westcoast Cape Fox Lodge. Throughout the summer months highs here at Patching Lake get into the 60's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. All through the wintertime the highs are ordinarily in the 30's; overnight lows in the 20's for Patching Lake.
