     Paddling on Carlson Creek is so much fun, and on a wonderful day you get a good vista of Norris Mountain from Oona Lake. Any time is a glorious time at Oona Lake if you love the outdoors. You could also take a look at Glory Lake while you're here at Oona Lake; it's nearby. At Oona Lake you always meet someone from Juneau, and possibly you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Loon Lakes is just a very short distance away. During the summertime months at Oona  
   Lake highs are mostly in the 60's while overnight lows are commonly in the 40's. For the period of the winter highs are ordinarily in the 20's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Oona Lake.
The high level of rainfall makes Oona Lake a reasonably wet site; during the month of October you get the most rain around here; the driest month of the year is April. This lake is so wonderful. Have a great hiking adventure along the Mount Roberts Trail, and
 
               after a long day outdoors Juneau Hotel is a splendid site to spend a night or two. Hit the slopes at Eaglecrest in the vicinity, and dry warm beds await you at Silverbow Inn.
