The good people of Juneau like to hang out nearby; not far from Nugget Creek you'll stumble on Dredge Lake which is a striking lake. All the water falling down from the sky makes Nugget Creek a wet place; the month of October is the wettest       with most of the rain, and April is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Pearsons Pond Inn and Spa is a great choice; hey, Arastra Creek is a good local stream. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Spruce Meadow Recreational Vehicle Park, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Eaglecrest. Through the warm months here at Nugget Creek, high temperatures generally get into the                  60's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 40's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 20's with temperatures at Nugget Creek dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. Nugget Creek is right by the West Glacier Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Montana Creek. Hiking along the Nugget Creek Trail is glorious fun, and there are some splendid whitewater spots on Mendenhall River. Going for a hike along the Spaulding Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood.
