The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Mud Lake dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. Mud Lake is a nearby lake that you could explore; if you need a place to stay Agate Inn is a great choice. You imagine that's enough? Just getting warmed up. If you came for an overnight stay Denali River Cabins and RV Park       is a tremendous location to camp. Mud Lake gets very little rain; the wettest month of the year is regularly September, that's the one that rains the most; April is the month with the least moisture. Mud Lake is a beautiful lake in the Talkeetna Mountains. Iceworm RV Park is a good campground nearby, and there's whitewater on Archangel Creek for all you adrenaline people. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting things in the Talkeetna Mountains. If                  you get bored of Mud Lake, you could also go to nearby Black Lake, and Settlers Bay Golf Club is a brilliant golf course close by. This lake is so wonderful.
