At Mud Lake through the summertime months highs are in the 60's, and the overnight is quite cooler of course, generally in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 10's with temperatures at Mud Lake dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. Mud Lake is not the only place close by, Chignaki Pond is a close by lake, and Mud Lake is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Peters Creek Campground is a glorious       local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Lake Lucille Inn, and let's not forget Moon Princess Creek which is a stream that you may bump into during your stay. Mud Lake is a beautiful lake in the Talkeetna Mountains. Camping at Denali River Cabins and RV Park is always a great experience; if you need a spot to stay Grand View Inn And Suites is a fine choice. Now, you may assume that's a heap but there's even more                  entertaining stuff to do here at Mud Lake. So many cool things to do here in the Talkeetna Mountains, too glorious to be true. A lake nearby is Chignaki Pond, and if you come at the right time of year, Eagle River offers some magnificent whitewater.
