This site, the Talkeetna Mountains, has so much outdoors entertaining things. Eklutna River is a beautiful stream that is worth stopping at, and Minor Lake is a magnificent place to visit for more than one day, Peters Creek Campground is a magnificent place to camp nearby. All through the summertime months here at Minor Lake, high temperatures regularly       get into the 60's with nighttime lows in the 50's. During the winter the highs are generally in the 10's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Minor Lake. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors ALASKAS SELECT INN WASILLA is a great place to spend a night or two, and you can stay the night at Thunder Bird Falls Campground. Minor Lake is a location that is relatively dry mostly; September is the month that gets the most rain, and April meanwhile                  is the driest month. You'll find a pretty lake called Edmonds Lake near Minor Lake; in the event that you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Eagle River. If you want a fine time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Minor Lake.
