Many people like to go to Mendenhall Lake. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Pearsons Pond Inn and Spa is a glorious site to spend a night or two, and do visit Dredge Lake, it's a pretty lake. A striking lake like Nugget Creek right next door to Mendenhall Lake is a great spot to have a look at, and there are perfect spots to explore along the Spaulding Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Auke Bay RV Park is a glorious campground nearby, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Mendenhall River. Nugget Creek Dam is an exciting thing to check out, and if you need a place to stay Juneau Super 8 Motel is a great choice. This is a popular location for folks from Juneau.

Spruce Meadow Recreational Vehicle Park is a pleasant site to camp; nearby you come across the West Glacier Trail which is a great hiking trail. All through the days of summer here at Mendenhall Lake, high temperatures typically get
into the 60's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Highs throughout the winter are commonly in the 20's; after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Mendenhall Lake plunge into the 20's. Looking for
some flowing water? Try Arastra Creek; going for a hike on the Nugget Creek Trail is always a wonderful adventure.
All the water falling down from the sky makes Mendenhall Lake a wet site; the wettest month of the year is typically October, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month is April.
