And that's not all you can do here at Meeks Pond. There are some magnificent whitewater spots on Glacier River, and not far from Meeks Pond you'll hit upon Corser Lake which is a lovely lake. There's whitewater on Power Creek for all you thrill seekers, and on a wonderful day you can take a hike along the Sheridan Mountain Trail. Man, is       there a lot of exciting things to do in the Chugach Mountains. Wrangell - St Elias National Park & Preserve is a good location right next door to Meeks Pond, and going for a hike on the Eyak Trail is always a brilliant adventure. High temperatures at Meeks Pond all through the warmest time of the year are in the 60's. During the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 40's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 30's while the cold winter                  nights at Meeks Pond are in the 10's. This lake is one of the great places here in the Chugach Mountains. This lake is so wonderful.
