McLeod Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Camping is available at Town and Country RV Park; camping at Homestead RV Campground is always a brilliant experience. At McLeod Lake you don’t see much rain; most of the rain falls during September, and the driest month is April. So much entertaining stuff in the Talkeetna Mountains, just tremendous. There are some good whitewater spots on Little Susitna River; if you've had enough of McLeod

Summertime brings highs in the 60's to McLeod Lake. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 40's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 20's while McLeod Lake night low temperatures during the winter are in the 0's. The Talkeetna Mountains scenery is always beautiful.
