McKinley Lake is always a pleasure to visit. McKinley Lake is one of the lakes here in the Chugach Mountains. McKinley Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; through the month of September you get the most rain around here; July is the month with the least moisture.
For the duration of the warm months, highs generally are in the 60's at McKinley Lake while overnight lows are regularly in the 40's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and

Do pay a visit to Wrangell - St Elias National Park & Preserve if you're here at McKinley Lake; there's some flowing water close by, Salmon Creek is a stream you can check out while you're here. This lake is so wonderful. On a great day at McKinley Lake you can take a hike along the McKinley Lake Trail; close by you locate the Lake Elsner Trail which is a nice hiking trail.
