Matanuska Lake is a lake worth visiting. In case you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Archangel Creek, and Little Susitna River is a pleasant whitewater spot close by. Summertime highs at Matanuska Lake usually tend to be in the 60's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 40's. Matanuska Lake is one of the lakes here in the Talkeetna Mountains. Be careful
coming to the Talkeetna Mountains, you might not ever want to go back home again. Camping at Matanuska Lake is great fun, Mountain View RV Park is a great local campground, and dry warm beds await you at Agate Inn.
