Matanuska Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. This lake is so wonderful. Matanuska Lake is a great location to visit for more than one day, Homestead RV Campground is a great location to camp nearby; if you're here, you could also stop by charming Irene Lake. Whohoo, so much amusing stuff in one place! Matanuska Lake is excellent! If you need a location to stay Gold Miners Hotel is a nice choice. Dry warm beds await you at Agate

The Talkeetna Mountains scenery is always beautiful. All year is a good time in the Talkeetna Mountains if you have a thing about the outdoors. Mountain View RV Park is a tremendous campground nearby, and Baird Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop by. At Matanuska Lake you don’t see much precipitation; through the month of September you get the most rain around here, and April meanwhile is the driest month.

Rabbit Slough is an exciting swamp near Matanuska Lake; in the event that you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Little Susitna River. At Matanuska Lake during the warm months highs
are in the 60's while nighttime lows are generally in the 40's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 20's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Matanuska Lake temperatures dip to the 0's.
