And if you're still looking for more outdoors entertaining stuff just keep reading. For the duration of the warmest time of the year at Mama Bear Lake temperatures are usually in the 60's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 40's. During the winter highs are in the 10's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Mama Bear Lake temperatures descend to the 0's.       This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such peaceful locations, why not take a look at Larson Lake in close proximity to Mama Bear Lake; Denali National Park & Preserve is one of the destinations that are delightful to visit nearby. Whohoo, so many fun things in one place! The Talkeetna Mountains is excellent! If you need a spot to stay Mt. Mckinley Princess Wilderness Lodge is a pleasant choice, and paddling on Sheep Creek is so much fun. Papa Bear Lake is                  a delightful lake in close proximity to Mama Bear Lake; whitewater paddling is good on Chulitna River. Talkeetna Camper Park is a fine local campground, and if you came for an overnight stay Wildland Development LLC is a delightful place to camp. The annual rain here at Mama Bear Lake is about average; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is January.   Mt.
