You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool stuff at Lucy Lake. Lakes are wonderful; Wallace Lake is a lake that's right next door to Lucy Lake. Lucy Lake is pretty waterless ordinarily; the month with most of the rain is September while April is typically the driest month. High temperatures at Lucy Lake all through the days of summer are in the 60's with nighttime lows in the 50's. Throughout       the winter highs are in the 10's; after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Lucy Lake sink into the 0's. Get soaked paddling on Eagle River, and if you have time to spare, Katmai National Park & Preserve is a national park worth visiting. So much enjoyable stuff in the Talkeetna Mountains, just striking. After a long day outdoors Microtel Inn and Suites Anchorage Area -Eagle River- is a good place to spend a night or two. You'll need more than                  a day to look at everything Lucy Lake has to offer, you can camp at Hidden Heaven RV Park. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit nearby Wallace Lake; dry warm beds await you at Best Western Lake Lucille Inn.
