Have a delightful hiking adventure along the Devils Pass Trail, and there are some great whitewater spots on Sixmile River. This site is excellent, just check out all the fun stuff to do near Lower Summit Lake. Hiking along the Carter Lake Trail is tremendous fun, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood       you can always take a look at close by Summit Lake. If you come at the right time of year, Canyon Creek offers some fine whitewater, and a glorious nearby hotel is Trail Lake Lodge. Throughout the warm months here at Lower Summit Lake, high temperatures frequently reach the 60's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's while Lower Summit Lake overnight low temperatures throughout the winter are in the                  10's. A typical amount of rain falls here at Lower Summit Lake; the wettest month of the year is generally October, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month is May. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Best Western Hotel Edgewater and Conference Center is a nice place to spend a night or two. Going for a hike along the Grant Lake Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area; not far from Lower Summit Lake you'll hit upon Carter Lake which is a pretty lake. This lake is so wonderful.
