Lower Paradise Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Portage Valley RV Park and Cabin Rentals is a fine local campground, and if you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Nellie Juan River. Dry warm beds await you at The Hotel Alyeska, and there is a good hiking trail nearby called the Paradise Valley Trail. Lower Paradise       Lake is a wet place that gets a great deal of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is October; May on the other hand is the driest. Summertime highs at Lower Paradise Lake mostly tend to be in the 60's with nighttime lows in the 40's. Through the winter the highs are ordinarily in the 20's with temperatures at Lower Paradise Lake dipping down into the 10's all through winter nights. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Lower Paradise Lake.                  Portage River has a good whitewater paddling spot nearby; you can go for a hike on the Grant Lake Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
