Long Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Long Lake is located in the Talkeetna Mountains. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Chickaloon River, and you can have a wonderful hiking adventure along the Chickaloon Knik Nelchina Trail. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Long Lake you can take a hike along the Chickaloon River Trail.

| | gets very little rain; July is when you get the most rain here; the driest of the months is April. During the summer months highs here at Long Lake get into the 60's. Through the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 40's. During the wintertime the highs are generally in the 10's while Long Lake nighttime low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the-10's. All the outdoors entertaining stuff in the Talkeetna Mountains will keep you coming back repeatedly. | |
