Drift down the rapids of Kenai River in a kayak, and a brilliant close by hotel is Courtyard By Marriott Anchorage. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool things right next door to Lonesome Lake. The warmest time of the year at Lonesome       Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 60's while nighttime lows are mostly in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Lonesome Lake dipping down into the 0's all through winter nights. Lonesome Lake is right by the Seven Lakes Trail, and camping at Montana Creek Campground is always a great experience. If you need a place to stay Lake View Bed and Breakfast is a glorious choice, and hiking is a popular thing                  to do around Lonesome Lake; Fuller Lake Trail is a great local trail.
