Nearby lakes? Sure, Papa Bear Lake is close to Larson Lake; Chulitna River is a splendid whitewater spot close by. Denali National Park & Preserve is a nice location close to Larson Lake, and a great place to camp here at Larson Lake is Talkeetna Camper Park. So much exciting stuff to do in the Talkeetna Mountains, not sufficient time. Here at Larson Lake you'll almost certainly meet some people from Anchorage, and needless to say, this is a magnificent vicinity

Larson Lake gets a common amount of precipitation; August is the wettest month with most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. High temperatures at Larson Lake during the warm months are in the 60's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 40's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 10's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Larson Lake. | |

This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Wildland Development LLC is always a magnificent experience, and a wonderful place for whitewater paddling is Sheep Creek. Larson Lake is one of the lakes here in the Talkeetna Mountains. What a location this is for outdoors people.
