Hiking along the Bull Rock Trail is brilliant fun, and there are plenty of folks from Anchorage here at Lake Kiowa. Lake Kiowa gets very little rainfall; the wettest month of the year is regularly September, that's the one that rains the most while April is the month with the least amount of precipitation. But wait, there's more to do near Lake Kiowa. After a long day outdoors Microtel Inn and       Suites Anchorage Area -Eagle River- is a magnificent location to spend a night or two, and as expected Fossil Creek flows through this area. Throughout the days of summer here at Lake Kiowa, high temperatures regularly get into the 60's while night lows are frequently in the 50's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 10's while Lake Kiowa night low temperatures through the winter are in the 0's. Ramada Limited Anchorage is a wonderful location                  to get some rest, and if you came for an overnight stay Centennial and Lions Campground is a glorious site to camp. There are some nice whitewater spots on Ship Creek, and why not take a look at Ship Creek Dam if you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Very beautiful scenery and pleasant skiing is what you get at Hilltop; Otter Lake is a good lake nearby. Going for a hike along the Bird Creek Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. This lake is so wonderful. Hidden Heaven RV Park is a delightful campground nearby, and there's whitewater on Campbell Creek for all you thrill seekers. Gotta ski!
