Through the wintertime the highs are usually in the 10's; nighttime lows at Kalmbach Lake throughout the wintertime ordinarily plunge into the 0's. All year is a perfect time in the Talkeetna Mountains if you go for the outdoors. A good site to camp here at Kalmbach Lake is Hidden Heaven RV Park, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Lake Lucille Inn is a great place to spend a night or two. Kalmbach Lake is one of the lakes here in the Talkeetna Mountains.                  This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Eagle River Campground since you're here at Kalmbach Lake; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Eagle River.
