Lakes are such peaceful sites, why not explore Ocolaksuk Lake in close proximity to Kako Lake, and after a long day outdoors Long House Bethel is a pleasant place to spend a night or two. All through the warm days of summer at Kako Lake highs are usually in the 60's, and all through the night it cools down to the 40's. Throughout the wintertime highs are frequently in the 10's; after the sun is down during the winter temperatures       at Kako Lake fall into the-10's. Whohoo, so much enjoyable stuff in one place! The Nulato Hills rules! You'll discover a gorgeous lake called Nunvotchuk Lake near Kako Lake; there are great spots to discover along the Yukon-Kuskokwim Portage. Kako Lake gets very little precipitation; August is the wettest month with most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Kako Creek is in close proximity to Kako Lake and is always a joy                  to go to, and don't leave Kako Lake without first checking out Bareface Bluff.
