After a long day outdoors Inn at Creek St. and NY Hotel is a great site to spend a night or two, and there are other places here than Jordan Lake, for example Heckman Lake. This is no site for people who don’t like to have fun. Jordan Lake gets a lot of water; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily October, that's the one that rains the most, and July is when it's the driest. You'll meet a lot of folks from Ketchikan here. Lakes? Sure, Emma Lake is in the
   neighborhood.
For the duration of the warm months at Jordan Lake highs are commonly in the 60's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Jordan Lake. This lake is so wonderful. It's a fine idea to stop at Emma Creek, it's in the vicinity of Jordan Lake, and camping is available at Admiralty Cove - Tongass National Forest. A magnificent

site to camp here at Jordan Lake is Settlers Cove Campground, and a great close by hotel is Westcoast Cape Fox Lodge.

Hey all,
Just for informational purposes, I just got back from camping/fishing on Jim's lake, which is located smack dab in the middle of Admiralty Island, and have posted some pictures for anyone who is interested in visiting. When we booked, we had very little information about the area, cabin, etc., so I thought I would provide some pictures and information about our trip. http://www.jimslakecabin.com We had a great time while we were there for a week--the area was beautiful, and we were pulling out 25-30'' Kokanee left and right. Hope it helps anyone who was thinking of visiting this awesome spot!! ...

Kegan Cove - Tongass National Forest
12 miles away
Kegan Cove is on Prince of Wales Island, Black Sand Beach is on Gravina Island, and Carlanna Lake, creek and dam all are on Revillagigedo Island. You'd need a fairly good-sized boat and/or a floatplane to see all three in one trip....
