The warmest time of the year at Jones Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 60's. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 50's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 20's; overnight lows during the wintertime for Jones Lake tend to be in the 0's. There's so much to do here at       Jones Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Polar Bear Inn is a glorious place for that, and dry warm beds await you at Courtyard Anchorage Airport. That right there is loads already, but it keeps on going; Jones Lake has it all. Why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Anchorage Golf Course, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit nearby Meadow Lake. Jones Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than                  a day at, Hiline Lake Wilderness Camp is a wonderful local campground, and if you're visiting from Anchorage, you won't be the only one. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Bull Rock Trail, and going to Katmai National Park & Preserve is just something you need to do if you haven't yet. This lake is so wonderful. Campbell Creek is a perfect whitewater spot close to Jones Lake; if you like skiing, you're in luck; Alpenglow At Arctic Valley is rather near. Not much precipitation falls here at Jones Lake; September is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is April.
