In Alaska there are many beautiful lakes, Jim Lake is one of them. This lake is one of the great places here in the Talkeetna Mountains. Jim Lake gets very little precipitation; during the month of September you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is March. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Gold Miners Hotel, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Palmer Golf Course is in close proximity.

Through the warm days of summer highs here at Jim Lake reach the 60's, and the nighttime is quite cooler of course, mostly in the 40's. Through the wintertime the highs are frequently in the 20's; night
lows at Jim Lake through the wintertime commonly descend into the 0's. McRoberts Creek flows through this region; Moose Creek has a great whitewater paddling spot close by.
