Jim Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Summertime highs at Jim Lake regularly tend to be in the 60's, and the nighttime is a little cooler of course, regularly in the 40's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and overnight lows at Jim Lake during the winter usually plunge into the 0's. Gold Miners Hotel is a great location to get some rest; if you come at the right time of year, Moose Creek offers some great whitewater.

| | So many exciting things in the Talkeetna Mountains, just amazing. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Wolverine Creek, and Jim Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Pinnacle Mountain Recreation is a good local campground.
