A splendid nearby hotel is Gold Miners Hotel; get your heart beating on the pleasant whitewater of Moose Creek. Summertime highs at Jim Lake usually tend to be in the 60's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's,       and night lows at Jim Lake through the wintertime mostly dip into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. A round of golf at nearby Palmer Golf Course is a splendid way to kill some time, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Alyeska. This lake is located in the wonderful Talkeetna Mountains. If you want a pleasant time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Talkeetna Mountains. Kroa Kamping Resorts-alaska is a splendid                  campground nearby, and Jim Lake is not the only location close by, Gull Lake is a close by lake. Try McRoberts Creek, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Wolverine Creek.
