Good hiking is available along the Schooner Bend Trail; if you're here why not stop by Kenai River Canyon. It is very dehydrated here at Jean Lake usually; the month with most of the rain is September while April is commonly the driest month. Go for a hike on the Fuller Lake Trail, and you can stay the night at Sunrise Inn and RV Park. The warmest time of the year brings highs in       the 60's to Jean Lake with overnight lows in the 50's. For the period of the wintertime highs are frequently in the 20's; overnight lows during the wintertime for Jean Lake tend to be in the 0's. Don't leave Jean Lake without first going for a hike along the Seven Lakes Trail, and you can run the rapids of Kenai River.
