Don't leave Icy Lake without first going for a hike along the Skyline Trail; a lake nearby is Devils Punch Bowl. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Chilkoot Trail, and the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Reid Falls. Don't forget to take a delightful little visit to Reid Creek, and if you came to camp Skagway RV Park is a magnificent place to do that. At Icy Lake during the summertime       months highs are in the 60's with night lows in the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Icy Lake. Any time is a splendid time at Icy Lake if you love the outdoors. There's so much to do here at Icy Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Liarsville Campground is a delightful site for that, needless to say you could also explore Upper Dewey Lake while you're here; it's not far at all. Hiking                  is a popular thing to do around Icy Lake; Battery Point Trail is a glorious local trail, and if you need a location to stay Halsingland Hotel is a wonderful choice. Icy Lake sees pretty high levels of precipitation; most of the rain falls all through October while June is mostly the driest month.
