The beauty of Hunter Lake attracts many people from all around. It is very dried up here at Hunter Lake mostly; all through the month of July you get the most rain around here; April is the month with the least moisture. Dry warm beds await you at Alaska Choice Inn, and whitewater paddling is great on Matanuska River - East Fork and Main Stem. Through the summer highs here at Hunter Lake reach the 60's.
