The Talkeetna Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Man, is there a heap of cool things to do in the Talkeetna Mountains. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Hicks Creek, and there are other spots here than Hundred Mile Lake, for example Bench Lake. High temperatures at Hundred Mile Lake all through the warm days of summer are in the 60's. Once the       sun is down it sinks down to the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 10's, and overnight lows throughout the winter for Hundred Mile Lake tend to be in the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. Hundred Mile Lake gets very little rain; July is the wettest month with most rain while April is commonly the driest month.
