The Alaska Range scenery is always beautiful. Horseshoe Lake gets very little rain; most of the rain falls during July; the driest of the months is April. But wait, there's more to do close to Horseshoe Lake. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Horseshoe Lake has to offer, you can camp at Healy Koa Kampground, and if you fancy a little side spree, try Iceworm Gulch.       Through the summertime months, highs usually are in the 70's at Horseshoe Lake, and the night is quite cooler of course, usually in the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 0's; nighttime lows in the-20's for Horseshoe Lake. Take a side journey to Eagle Creek, and get dripping wet paddling on Riley Creek. Glide down the rapids of Nenana River in a kayak; Horseshoe Lake is a great place to visit for more than one day, Lynx Creek                  Pizza is a great place to camp nearby.
