Go to Highbush Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. A great deal of rainfall falls at Highbush Lake; October is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is June. Through the summer months highs here at Highbush Lake reach the 60's. Summer nighttime lows fall down to the 40's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Highbush Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Highbush

| | Lake Trail. Good hiking is available along the Thoms Lake Trail, and don't leave Highbush Lake without first going for a hike along the Long Lake Trail. Lots of folks from Ketchikan come to Highbush Lake; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Stikine River. | |
