A pretty lake like Summit Lake in close proximity to High Lake is a splendid spot to stop at. You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the Alaska Range. McKinley Chalet Resort is a great spot to get some rest, and a perfect place to camp here at High Lake is Mat-Su RV Park and Campground. An average amount of rain falls at High Lake; most of the rain falls through August, and the driest month is       May. During the warmest time of the year highs here at High Lake get into the 60's, and the night is a tad chillier of course, mostly in the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 10's with temperatures at High Lake dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. Lakes are such serene spots, why not stop at Daneka Lake right next door to High Lake, and High Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Eagle Crest RV Park and Cabins is a good local campground.
