Harrison Lake is pretty dehydrated ordinarily; the month of September is the wettest with most of the rain, and March on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Matanuska River; Harrison Lake is right by the Chickaloon River Trail. This site is       excellent, just look at all the cool stuff to do near Harrison Lake. After a long day outdoors Gold Miners Hotel is a fine place to spend a night or two. Not far from Harrison Lake, you'll find Drill Lake which is a gorgeous lake, and hiking along the Chickaloon Trail is nice fun. All year is a great time in the Talkeetna Mountains if you adore the outdoors. Lakes? Sure, Fish Lake is nearby, and Kings Mountain is clearly visible from Harrison Lake. This                  lake is one of the great places here in the Talkeetna Mountains. For the period of the summer months, highs frequently are in the 60's at Harrison Lake. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 40's.
